ON YER BIKE
Candidate for Eurobodalla Mayor, Graham Scobie, uses a bicycle as his primary form of transport. Graham is seen on a daily basis on his trusty Giant around the streets of Moruya and surrounding areas and even attends meetings at night by pedal power. Not only is this his contribution to minimizing carbon emissions but with the current cost of petrol he also hopes he is setting an example of how to reduce weekly fuel bills.

If elected Mayor Mr Scobie will refuse a mayoral vehicle and will still cycle to work each day at the Eurobodalla Shire Council headquarters in Moruya as he lives only 1.7km from the Council Chambers. He will only use a Council pool vehicle for meetings outside Moruya. Graham has been a regular user of the Moruya South Head Cycleway over recent years and commends Council for work done on that path as well as others in Tuross, Dalmeny and Broulee.
Mr Scobie has been a cyclist for over 30 years and even ran his own bicycle repair business while at university in Canberra. He was a foundation member of bicycle lobby group Pedal Power in Canberra in 1975.
